The Role
Do you dream about leading an engineering team with the talent, passion, and financial backing to build killer, industry-changing cloud-based applications and platform? Veeva is looking for a passionate Release Engineer to work at our Pleasanton location. You’ll work on the Release Engineering team, which utilizes modern technologies and best practices to deliver seamless releases to all our Vault customers.
Vault is a proven, cloud-based development platform to manage documents and related data, while automating tasks and processes across the organization. Vault applications are purpose-built using the platform to provide a single source of truth with complete visibility and increased compliance on a single cloud platform.
What You'll DoPlan, coordinate, and lead deployments of product releases. Ensure all changes are documented, approved, and verifiedFacilitate resolution of deployment problems with Engineering, QA, and Technical OperationsWork cross-functionally with teams including QA, Engineering, PM, Customer Support and Operations to ensure release readinessDeliver releases/upgrades to SaaS instances with focus and precisionProactively identify, recommend, and implement software release process improvements to maximize efficiencyProvide timely support and expertise to internal Veeva teamsManage the build and deployment of mobile appsRequirements3+ years experience in release engineering for an organization with complex applicationsBS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experienceExperience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, TestRailSaaS product delivery experienceSelf-starter with strong analytic and problem-solving skills and the ability to identify issues and bring them to resolutionExperience with source code version control systems such as GitKnowledge of Unix/Linux and distributed computing environmentsDeep understanding of SDLC, SQA processes and agile methodologyProject management, relationship building, organizational and communication skillsAbility to successfully partner with all functions across the companyCandidates must be located in the Pacific or Mountain Time zone; Local to the Bay Area preferredApplicants must have the unrestricted right to work in the United States.
