The Data Scientist is responsible for leading the development, co-creation and implementation of advanced data analysis and tools to optimise organisational initiatives. The role involves driving a vision and strategy for innovative data solutions, supporting data-driven decision making and cultivating actionable insights through collaboration with business partners.
NOTE: this is a 12 month contract position.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
- Model and analyse internal and external data sources, performing rigorous data checks to ensure accuracy and reliability, utilising the data to develop comprehensive solutions.
- Conduct data profiling, segmentation, regression analysis, and clustering.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis, machine learning, and probabilistic modelling to develop predictive analytics and optimisation solutions.
- Develop robust statistical and probabilistic models to integrate diverse data sources using deterministic and advanced techniques.
- Conduct scoping and post-program measurement statistical analysis on multiple data sources using SQL, Python, and R.
- Utilise and build data visualisation solutions that can effectively communicate insights through visual means.
- Demonstrate expertise in a range of data science technologies, including big data, data integration, data visualisation, software development, statistics, and machine learning.
- Lead the design and development of innovative business technology solutions by applying modern machine learning intelligence and data analysis technologies.
- Explore future directions of machine intelligence and stay informed of the latest developments.
- Demonstrate creative thinking to solve complex problems and champion new technologies to achieve project goals.
- Foster curiosity about business priorities, challenges and needs to develop actional insights
- Analyse complex datasets and uncover performance improvement opportunities using structured problem-solving methods
- Produce actionable insights from data, conducting analysis using various technologies and techniques
- Communicate technical information clearly to stakeholders at the local, regional and global teams
- Integrate real-time insights into business processes to remain agile and responsive to trends
- Organise and present objectives and progress effectively, contributing to documentation and presentations
- Contribute to the delivery of new solutions, enhancements or AI based tools that deliver impact to ANZ region as well as regional and global teams
- Report any adverse event within 24 hours as per AbbVie’s policies and procedures.
- Proactively participate in AbbVie’s WHS programs, adhere to policies and promote a safe work environment at all times.
- Adhere to AbbVie’s internal codes of conduct and compliance processes.
