Job purpose
To provide an expert interface between GSK Medical and the external healthcare community on medical topics and also help ensure the safe and effective use of GSK medicines through appropriate scientific dialogue.
CVMD ( CardioVascular and Metabolic disease ) Vaccine Scientific Advisor provides success in building and maintaining external experts belief on Key adults vaccines of GSK and disease related using the scientific engagement / exchange expertise. CVMD Vx. SA ensures aligned and prioritized execution of strategic medical activities across therapeutic areas and manages the effective/efficient performance and tracts metrics according to the country medical objectives. The execution of CVMD Vx. SA objective and activities will be aligned with medical product strategy and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Scientific Engagement / Exchange with Cardiovascular / Endocrinology specialists
Lead the orchestrated vaccine medical activities in assigned TAs
Build peer-to-peer scientific relationships with identified EE (External Experts) / Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and healthcare organizations/scientific societies to address their information needs and gain insights that inform GSK medical and research strategies
Support line manager (e.g. medical lead etc) to develop less experienced MSLs as scientific advisor
Execute and support MSL operational plan to achieve goals in line with Business plan
Lead the internal strategic communications particularly for GSK’s CVMD area
Gather medical voice of customer (mVoC), unmet medical needs from HCPs and generate medical insights, securing advice that informs GSK development of medicines of value for the ultimate benefit of patients
Chair, facilitate and present as an internal expert in meetings/seminars
Respond to unsolicited requests for on or off-label information or safety concerns from HCPs.
Support clinical development activities by participating in the site identification and assessment process, addressing subject retention and other scientific issues in partnership with study management and monitoring
Qualifications
7+ years of Pharmaceutical or Biotech industry experience (medical, clinical or vaccine sales) or a very strong academic background
Knowledge of life sciences field (medical, pharmacy, nursing, biology, clinical, specified disease/therapeutic area)
Preferred : Anyone who has strong proven experiences in Cardiology area and has a passion to elevate the professional career with vaccine as innovative way
Ability to apply and leverage scientific and medical knowledge is essential

Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with External Experts
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent scientific presentation skills
Good external scientific credibility and reputation preferred
