Veeva Link supports the life sciences industry by building connected data applications to improve research and patient outcomes. It helps professionals find the right people, e.g. clinical trials, education programs, or advisory boards. This streamlined access helps to reduce the time-to-market of essential drugs, conduct trials with the most relevant experts in the respective field, and spread information about new treatments to key people in the life science community. You will build the backbone of our data quality engine. Your work will empower thousands of curators to process massive datasets with speed and precision, ensuring the life sciences industry has the high-quality data needed to accelerate clinical trials and drug development.

What You'll DoEnd-to-end ownership of the data curation application. You won't just take tickets; you will own the full lifecycle of the application's featuresDevelop high-performance Python web services and optimize database interactions for large-scale data ingestionTake full responsibility for features from technical design and estimation to deployment, testing, and observabilityDrive architectural enhancements and participate in the decision-making to ensure the application remains scalable, generic, and maintainableLead the end-to-end development of high impact features for our data curation platformLead the integration of complex software components, turning requirements into robust, fully functional solutionsWork with very large data setsFocus on application performanceAnalyze feature requirements, provide the technical vision, and create estimationsRequirements4+ years of professional experience developing web services with PythonVery strong understanding of Python and its core libraries, with experience in at least one major Python framework (FastAPI, Django or Flask)Very good understanding of data modeling and storage using SQL and/or NoSQL databases (Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar)Experience developing own products in an agile companyExperience deploying software and managing infrastructureStrong knowledge of software design patterns (MVC, microservices, Hexagonal/Onion architectures)Proficiency in designing and developing APIs and building data-intensive applicationsExcellent testing, debugging and documentation skillsExcellent communication skills in EnglishYou are proactive, able to communicate progress and delays, to work autonomously, and can take care of technical issues outside of your expertiseLocated in Spain, Portugal or Germany#RemoteSpain
