Kyverna is seeking a highly motivated Publications & Conferences Manager (Consultant) to support the Medical Affairs organization. This individual will play a key role in executing global publication strategies while also supporting the planning and execution of scientific conferences and external engagement activities.
This is a hands-on role responsible for project management of publication deliverables (manuscripts, abstracts, posters) and maintenance and execution of conference planning, logistics, and events. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong project management and planning skills, and can effectively collaborate across cross-functional teams and work well independently with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities
Publications & Scientific Communications (60-70%)
Support maintenance and execution of global publication plans across therapeutic programs
Manage end-to-end activities for publication projects (ie, manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations), such as author invitations, sending and tracking reviews and approvals, filing, timelines, and submissions
Maintain publication project trackers and proactively communicate with publication lead, writers, internal reviewers, and external authors
Ensure publication development processes are followed in a compliant, organized, and timely manner
Proactively coordinate with external vendors and medical writers to ensure high-quality deliverables
Ensure compliance with internal policies and external publication guidelines (e.g., ICMJE, GPP)
Conferences & Events (30-40%)
Support planning and execution of key scientific congresses and medical meetings (regional and global)
Coordinate logistics for conference participation including abstracts, booths, hotels, transportations, dinners, and other events
Assist with vendor coordination, including agencies, venues, and production partners
Communicate with external advisors, speakers, and KOLs for meeting and event planning purposes
Support contracting, budget tracking, purchase orders, and expense reconciliation
Coordinate internal communications and materials for conference readiness
Assist in planning and execution of advisory boards and HCP engagement events
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, scientific or healthcare-related field preferred
4+ years of experience in medical/scientific publications, medical affairs, or scientific communications
Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical communications environment required
Familiarity with publication guidelines and compliance standards (e.g., ICMJE, GPP)
Experience supporting scientific conferences or medical meetings preferred
Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Excellent scientific writing, editing, and communication skills
Experience communicating with KOLs and leadership team members for reviewing and scheduling purposes with appropriate professional tone and language
High attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work cross-functionally and build strong internal and external relationships
Self-starter with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset
CMPP or CMP certification is a plus
