Job Description

Death is our only foe.

Blueprint was founded by Bryan Johnson, who has the world’s best comprehensive biomarkers. He is quantitatively the healthiest person on the planet.

Blueprint is methodically built on science. Bryan freely shares his protocol, learnings and data with everyone to use. Blueprint has also developed a family of nutritional products to make the benefits of the Blueprint protocol affordable and available to all.

We’re a small, tight-knit team working to clean up the global food supply, provide healthy food to everyone, and build Don’t Die into the most influential ideology in the world. We move quickly, work efficiently, and enjoy an environment defined by competence.

The Medical Director & Physician at Blueprint is a senior physician-leader responsible for both direct patient care and clinical leadership across Blueprint’s precision and longevity medicine platform.

This role blends hands-on clinical practice with strategic oversight, ensuring patient care is evidence-based, disciplined, scalable, and aligned with Blueprint’s mission, product roadmap, and quality standards.

This is not traditional primary care and not volume medicine. Physicians in this role function as clinical strategists and leaders, synthesizing complex data, guiding high-touch care teams, and setting the clinical bar for the organization.

Requirements

As a Physician:

  • Review genomic, laboratory, imaging, wearable, and questionnaire data and interpret it in the context of each patient’s life, goals, and risk profile
  • Collaboratively develop personalized, evidence-based health plans grounded in precision medicine and lifestyle-first care
  • Conduct telemedicine visits with patients, frequently alongside Health Coaches
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions using a conservative, data-driven precision medicine approach
  • Provide longitudinal care, reassessment, and plan refinement over time
  • Communicate closely with Care Coordinators and Health Coaches to deliver integrated, team-based care
  • Collaborate with other Blueprint physicians on complex cases and shared clinical standards
  • Provide feedback on clinical workflows and operational efficiency
  • Stay current with emerging research in longevity, prevention, and precision medicine and translate evidence into practice

As Medical Director/Clinical Leader:

  • Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and oversight of Blueprint’s physician team
  • Lead peer-to-peer physician sessions, case reviews, and clinical education forums
  • Coach, mentor, and develop physicians, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning
  • Serve as the clinical authority and escalation point for complex or high-risk cases
  • Act as a medical liaison between Blueprint’s education/fellowship initiatives and the physician group
  • Develop, refine, and enforce clinical processes, metrics, and reporting standards
  • Assist in developing and maintaining clinical practice guidelines in collaboration with Blueprint’s education and research teams
  • Oversee the Clinical Quality Assurance program with support
  • Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives and internal educational programs

Strategic & Cross-Functional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in strategic and tactical planning with Blueprint leadership
  • Serve as the clinical voice in cross-functional initiatives involving Product, Operations, and Growth
  • Work closely with Product Management to identify new clinical capabilities, workflows, and platform functionality
  • Provide clinical consultation to Sales and Marketing teams when medical judgment or review is required
  • Ensure clinical decisions align with regulatory requirements, ethical standards, and Blueprint’s long-term strategy

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Minimum 10 years of clinical practice as a physician
  • At least 5 years in a leadership, Medical Director, or executive clinical role
  • Active, unrestricted medical license (multistate preferred)
  • Current DEA registration
  • Strong clinical judgment and comfort managing complex, data-dense patients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary, fast-moving organization
  • Proven ability to perform under pressure, synthesize complex information, and make sound clinical and operational decisions

What This Role Is Not:

  • Not a high-volume, insurance-driven primary care role
  • Not appropriate for physicians seeking minimal leadership responsibility

What Success Looks Like:

  • High clinical quality with consistent, defensible medical decision-making
  • Strong physician engagement, mentorship, and retention
  • High quality quality assurance program that is in place and active
  • Patients who feel guided, educated, and supported
  • Clear, scalable clinical standards that support growth without dilution
  • Tight alignment between clinical care, product development, and company strategy
  • Partnering with AI to look for deep clinical insights
