Role Summary
You will lead the financial reporting function and be responsible for the quarterly and annual preparation of IFRS‑compliant financial statements for submission to the Board of Directors and local regulatory authorities. You will act as the primary audit coordinator, managing both internal and external audit activities throughout the reporting cycle. We value curiosity, collaboration and practical problem solving. Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements for shareholders and management.
- Preparation of Board presentation decks and Board packs for Audit Committee and Board of Directors’ meetings.
- Responsibility for annual report preparation and compliance with the Best Corporate Report checklist.
- Preparation of monthly actuals analysis and commentaries, and flagging anomalies to the line manager.
- Preparation and provision of timely and accurate financial information to enable sound, well‑informed business decisions.
- Maintenance of accounting records in line with statutory and IFRS requirements.
- Coordination with internal and external auditors, in liaison with other key stakeholders, including arrangement of meetings and other activities related to audit fieldwork.
- Support to Manager Reporting in meeting internal control compliance framework requirements.
- Assistance to Manager Reporting in the monthly review of schedules.
- Assistance to Manager Reporting in the preparation of departmental SOPs, including ensuring compliance and adding new clauses that add value to overall processes.
- Support in other ad hoc tasks and projects.
Qualification & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in financial reporting, statutory audits or a related finance role.
- Professional finance qualification like CA / ACCA or Master’s degree in finance
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience building financial models.
- Good analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience preparing management reports and presenting findings to stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a matrixed, cross-functional environment.
- Practical experience with financial planning systems or ERP tools.
- Experience automating reporting, building dashboards (Power BI, Tableau) or improving forecasting processes.
- Strong stakeholder management and clear communication skills.
